After a short jaunt to the MSP airport, the majority of the group suffered through standard security (a couple people, some who may fall in the "seniors" category in digits only, glided through on the magic carpet called "Delta PreCheck"), Things didn't go so smoothly for the plebeians where the snacks caused a "snackfu" and caused additional screening to occur! But all finally emerged relatively unscathed and with snacks intact.
Prior to boarding the 7.5 hour transatlantic sardine can, aka airplane, Prof Cher robustly guided the group through a series of quintessential "airplane stretches" - you know, the ones you do so you don't die a horrible, terrible death from a bubble in your bloodstream. This tour ritual is affectionately know as "Cherobics."

Once landed in Paris, everyone scurried off the plane, eager to escape the butt-numbing air-can, found Amy - the transportation wizard, and began the first of many train trips of the day, some of which smelled better than others.
After settling in to the AirBNB everyone headed into the city center. (PLEASE NOTE: Amy told everyone to take a "Power Nap." Only one tried, everyone else was "fine." Keep this in mind as you read on)
Amy's Mission: To keep everyone from going to bed until at least 6:30pm
Mission: Accomplished (with many dirty looks and gnashing of teeth)
Several adventures were had. Highlights seen. Crapes eaten. It was a good day (sort of, considering that sleep deprivation and Amy were cruel task-masters). With glum, resigned expressions they trudged behind Amy, silently wishing her death, or that they had listened to her instructions to take a nap. She did try to warn them.
P.S. Janie took a nap and was fine, but punchy, at 7pm! She wins.
